Bitly Pricing 2026: What Each Plan Really Costs per Link

What Bitly pricing really costs per link, the hidden limits like 5 edits a month and 30-day history on Core, and which Bitly plan actually fits your work.

Bitly has five plans in 2026: Free at $0, Core at $10 a month (sold yearly only, so $120 upfront), Growth at $29 a month billed yearly or $35 monthly, Premium at $199 a month billed yearly or $300 monthly, and Enterprise on a custom quote. Those numbers come straight from Bitly's pricing page, checked on October 24, 2026.

The sticker price is the easy part. What decides your bill is the set of counters underneath it: links per month, QR codes per month, destination changes per month and how many days of click data you keep. Core gives you 100 links but only 5 QR codes and 5 destination edits a month. This guide goes plan by plan, works out the cost per link, points out the limits the plan table hides and ends with an honest comparison against Linxly.

Bitly pricing at a glance (2026)

Here is the whole lineup with both billing options. "Edits" is what Bitly calls "redirects": changing where an existing link or QR code points.

Bitly advertises "save up to 34%" on annual plans. That figure is true for Premium only: $199 against $300 is a 34% cut. On Growth the gap is $29 against $35, about 17%. And on Core there is nothing to compare, because the monthly option does not exist.

Clicks and scans are unlimited on every plan, including Free. You pay for creating things, not for traffic.

What each Bitly plan gets you, and the limit you hit first

Free

Five links, two QR codes, three custom back-halves and two landing pages a month. The pricing table shows no click history at all for Free and no destination edits. Bitly also labels the plan "With Ads", and its help center article on ads explains that free-plan links can show a preview page with an ad before the visitor reaches the destination.

The first wall is the link count. Five links cover one small test, not a campaign.

Core

Core is where Bitly starts to be a working tool: 100 links, 100 custom back-halves, a UTM builder, 5 landing pages and 30 days of click data. Country data on Core is limited to the top 10 countries.

Then look at the two small numbers. Five QR codes a month and five destination edits a month. If you print QR codes on menus, flyers or packaging, the QR cap arrives long before the link cap does. If you fix typos or swap landing pages after publishing, edit number six waits for next month.

Growth

Growth multiplies the volume: 500 links, 10 QR codes, 20 edits, 120 days of history, plus bulk creation of up to 100 links per CSV upload. Link expiration also starts here.

The ratio is the odd part. You get 50 links for every QR code. A team that runs mostly offline campaigns hits the QR ceiling at code number eleven while 490 links sit unused.

Premium

At $199 a month billed yearly, Premium is the first plan with city-level and device data and with mobile deep linking (links that open an app instead of the browser). It also raises QR codes to 200 and history to a full year.

The limit here is the bill. If deep links or device data are the only reason you are looking at Premium, you are paying $2,388 a year for two features. Our Bitly vs Linxly comparison shows which of those features cost less elsewhere.

Enterprise

No public price. Enterprise adds what larger companies ask procurement for: multiple users with group permissions, SSO, a 99.99% uptime commitment, a dedicated success manager and two years of data. Worth knowing: the comparison table lists user management and group permissions only under Enterprise.

Dividing the yearly bill by the yearly link allowance gives a cleaner number than the monthly price does.

Plan and billingCost per yearLinks per yearCost per link
Core (yearly only)$1201,200$0.10
Growth, yearly$3486,000$0.058
Growth, monthly$4206,000$0.07
Premium, yearly$2,38836,000$0.066
Premium, monthly$3,60036,000$0.10

Two things jump out. Premium costs more per link than Growth, so nobody upgrades to Premium for volume. You upgrade for city data, device data, deep links and the longer history.

The second point is less comfortable. These figures assume you use every link. Create 30 links a month on Core and the real price is $120 ÷ 360, about $0.33 per link. Look at edits the same way: Core gives 60 a year, so if edits are the reason you bought it, each one costs $2.

The hidden limits: yearly billing, metered edits, short history

Yearly billing on the entry plan. Core is the only paid plan without a monthly option. You cannot try it for one month at $10. You commit $120 on day one, and the next step up with monthly billing is Growth at $35.

Edits are metered. This one surprises people most, because changing the destination is the whole point of a short link over a raw URL. The pricing page lists the same "Redirects" allowance under both links and QR codes. Look at a printed QR code: once 2,000 flyers are out, the destination is the only thing you can still change. On Core you get five of those changes a month across the account.

History expires. Core keeps 30 days of click and scan data. A campaign that ran in March is gone from the dashboard by May. Data export is not included on Free or Core either, according to the comparison table, so you cannot save the numbers before they roll off.

warning

Before buying Core, count how many destination changes you made last month across all your links and QR codes. If the answer is above 5, Core will block edits by mid-month, and the plan that covers you is Growth at $348 a year.

None of this is hidden in the legal sense. It is all in the comparison table. It just sits far below the price, in rows most buyers never scroll to.

Which Bitly plan suits whom

Free is for testing the interface. With 5 links a month and an ad page in front of them, it does not suit anything you publish to customers.

Core suits a solo marketer who creates a steady stream of links, rarely edits them and needs a QR code only occasionally. Newsletters, social posts and one-off promos fit well. Printed material does not.

Growth suits agencies and teams that generate links in batches. The bulk upload and the 120-day history are the reasons to pay. The 10-QR cap is the reason to hesitate.

Premium suits app teams that need deep links and companies that need device and city data in Bitly itself. Enterprise is for organizations that require SSO and per-user permissions, which no lower plan offers.

Bitly also has real strengths that do not show up in a price-per-link table. API access is included on every plan (1,000 requests a month on Free, 50,000 on Premium), there are browser extensions and mobile apps, and an AI assistant called Bitly Assist is included from Core. If your workflows already run through Bitly's integrations, switching costs more than any plan difference. We cover the bigger picture in why marketers are replacing Bitly, and if your real question is bio pages versus short links, start with Linktree vs Bitly.

Bitly vs Linxly pricing: an honest comparison

Linxly is our product, so here are both lineups side by side, weak spots included. Linxly prices are from the live pricing page, Bitly prices from Bitly's pricing page.

Linxly Pro$6.39/mo$7.99/mo250unlimited2 years20
Linxly Business$31.99/mo$39.99/mo5,000unlimited5 years50

Start with the weak spot. Starter gives 5 short links a month, the same count as Bitly's free plan. Its cost per link ($11.88 a year ÷ 60) is about $0.20, double Bitly Core's. Starter is for someone with a handful of links who wants them editable and tracked by country and device type, not for volume.

Pro is where the numbers turn. At $7.99 billed monthly, 250 links a month works out to about $0.03 per link, and it keeps two years of history against Core's 30 days. It also includes city, OS, browser and referrer data plus deep links, which on Bitly start at Premium. Destination edits are not metered on any plan, and a QR code generates automatically for every link instead of coming out of a separate monthly allowance. QR codes with your logo and brand colors are on Pro and Business.

Where Bitly stays ahead: team seats and SSO at Enterprise, a mature set of integrations and mobile apps, and API access on every tier. If you schedule social posts through Hootsuite, Bitly vs Ow.ly covers that setup, and our roundup of the best URL shorteners lines up seven tools by entry price and first limit.

How to check what you would actually pay

The quickest way to compare is with your own numbers, not the plan tables.

  1. Pull last month's usage. Count the links you created, the QR codes you generated and the destinations you changed. Those three numbers decide your Bitly plan more than anything else.
  2. Start the 7-day Linxly trial. Every feature is unlocked during the trial.
  3. Recreate one live link. Paste the long URL into the URL shortener, choose an ending like linx.ly/spring-menu and save. The QR code appears with the link.
  4. Change the destination twice. Point it at another page and back. Nothing is counted, and the QR code keeps working because it carries the short link, not the destination.
  5. Compare the reports after a few days. Check what you see per click: country, device, referrer. On Bitly, the equivalent device and city view starts at Premium.

If the trial does not fit, cancel before day 7. The links you recreate are separate from your Bitly account, so nothing changes there.

tip

Use the trial week on the link you edit most often, usually a printed QR code or a bio link. That is where metered edits and short history hurt, so it is the fairest test.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Bitly have a monthly plan?

Yes, but not at the entry level. Core is sold yearly only ($120). Growth is $35 a month and Premium $300 a month if you pay monthly.

Is the Bitly free plan worth it?

For testing, yes. For anything public, it is thin: 5 links and 2 QR codes a month, no click history, and Bitly labels the plan "With Ads".

How much does Bitly Enterprise cost?

Bitly does not publish an Enterprise price. You request a quote, and the limits on links, QR codes and pages are set case by case.

Does Bitly charge per click?

No. Clicks and QR scans are unlimited on every plan. The limits apply to how many links, QR codes and edits you create each month.

Yes. Links and QR codes you created keep redirecting after the plan ends. Editing destinations and viewing new stats need an active plan.

How much does Linxly cost?

Linxly starts at $0.99 a month. There is a 7-day free trial with every feature unlocked, and you can cancel anytime.
