Taplink describes itself as a landing page that drives your sales on Instagram, and the free plan does exactly that. A few links, some text, a theme, and the page is live. That is enough for a long time, which is why most people who look for an alternative are not unhappy with the page itself.
The search usually starts at one of two moments. The page needs something that sits two plans up, or you notice that the plan you pay for covers one profile and you now run two.
If you are weighing up a Taplink alternative, this guide covers what each plan includes and costs according to Taplink's own pricing cards and help centre, how the prepaid billing works, who the paid tiers are built for, and what to check before moving anything. In numbers: Taplink PRO costs $6 a month if you prepay a quarter and $3 a month if you prepay a year. Linxly starts at $0.99 a month.
What each Taplink plan includes
Taplink has three plans. BASIC is free and activates automatically when you register. PRO and BUSINESS are paid, and each one adds a block of features rather than raising a limit.
BASIC covers pre-designed themes, custom design, unlimited links, text blocks, custom blocks, messaging app and social links, maps, page view statistics, shared access and a QR code. Taplink's help centre lists the free plan blocks as text, links, delimiters, FAQ, and media with text.
PRO adds professional templates, images, videos and music, price lists, custom HTML, social media pixel support, scheduled display of blocks, and clicks analytics.
BUSINESS is the commerce tier. It adds internal pages, digital products, application forms for capturing leads, payment acceptance, removal of Taplink branding, a CRM system, automated emails, lead and payment notifications, a countdown timer, and marketing add-ons.
The three month minimum
Taplink does not sell a single month. The shortest paid period is a quarter, and the discount ladder rewards longer prepayment: 30% off for six months, 50% off for twelve. Taplink's own answer to why the minimum exists is short. "We have very reasonable prices. Most services charge more per month that we do for three."
Prices below are the ones shown on Taplink's pricing cards at the time of writing, in US dollars.
| Plan | 3 months | 6 months (30% off) | 12 months (50% off) |
|---|---|---|---|
| BASIC | Free | Free | Free |
| PRO | $6/mo, $18 total | $4.20/mo, $25.20 total | $3/mo, $36 total |
| BUSINESS | $12/mo, $36 total | $8.40/mo, $50.40 total | $6/mo, $72 total |
Two details are worth knowing before you pay. When the paid period ends, the free plan is activated automatically, so the page stays online with fewer features rather than disappearing. And refunds are handled by writing to support with the receipt attached, with the money returned within ten working days according to the offer agreement.
The monthly figure looks small because it is the annual figure divided by twelve. To reach $3 a month on PRO you pay $36 up front, and $72 on BUSINESS, for a tool you have used for a week. Miscount the plan you need and the money is committed for a year.
One profile, one plan
Taplink's pricing FAQ states the rule plainly: one Instagram profile, one rate plan. A plan can be transferred between profiles that sit under the same account, and support will move a paid plan for you, but two live pages on paid plans means two payments.
For a single creator that is fine. For anyone running a personal profile plus a shop profile, or an agency handling several clients, the arithmetic changes fast. Two BUSINESS pages prepaid annually is $144 a year before anything else.
Who Taplink is built for
Taplink sells on the page. BUSINESS accepts payments, holds digital products, captures leads through application forms, pushes those leads into a CRM, sends automated emails, and notifies you when a payment or a lead arrives. PRO adds social media pixel support for retargeting, custom HTML blocks, and scheduled display of blocks so a block appears and disappears on a date you set.
If a checkout and a CRM on the page are the core of what you do, that is the tier to look at, priced at $72 a year and tied to a single profile. The rest of this guide is for the other case, where the page is one of several places you publish links and the link work matters more than the storefront.
Where Linxly is a different tool
Taplink is a page builder. The page is the product, and everything happens on it. Linxly starts from the link, and the page is one of the things a link can point at.
The bio link page itself covers the ground you expect: product cards with prices, video, maps, text blocks, social icons, theming, and branding removal on paid plans. The setup for a profile is the same one described in the Instagram bio link guide. Pages, short links and QR codes sit under one account and one subscription, each with a quota set by your plan.
Every link you create gets a short URL with a slug you choose, in linx.ly/spring-sale format, and the destination stays editable after the link is published. That covers the places a bio page cannot reach: an email footer, a YouTube description, an ad, a printed flyer, a podcast script. A URL shortener and a bio page in one account also means one dashboard instead of two.
The reporting is the same on every paid plan: country, city, device type, device brand, operating system, browser and referrer, with QR scans counted separately from clicks. That last split is the one people miss until they run a print campaign and a social campaign in the same week.
Two things Taplink's plan lists do not cover at any tier: device-based routing that sends an iPhone user to the App Store and an Android user to Google Play from a single link, which Linxly does with deep links and no SDK, and a QR code generated automatically for every link you create, with your colors and logo on paid plans.
Billing, side by side
Taplink asks for a quarter up front and rewards a year. Linxly bills monthly, opens with a 7-day trial that unlocks the full feature set, and starts at $0.99 a month on Starter, with Pro at $7.99.
Compare at the tier each tool actually sells. Taplink PRO prepaid annually is $3 a month against Linxly Starter at $0.99, and the two buy different things: PRO covers the page, while Starter covers the page plus short links, deep links, QR codes and the full analytics set. Taplink BUSINESS at $6 a month annually is where the commerce features live, and that tier is a different purchase entirely.
The clean way to read it: a shop on the page is what Taplink charges for, and everything a link does off the page is what Linxly charges for. Only one of those two jobs grows with you when the campaigns move to email, ads, video and print.
Before you move
Nothing imports. There is no migration between the two, so the page gets rebuilt block by block. An average bio page takes under an hour.
Your taplink.cc URL is probably printed somewhere. Keep the Taplink page alive on the free plan and point its first link at the new page while the old URL is still circulating on packaging, a business card or an old post.
Map what runs through the page today. If orders, forms or CRM records flow through Taplink, decide where each one lands first, whether that is a checkout link, a form tool or your CRM. The bio page then points at them, which is how most shops already work.
Decide where the reporting lives. Split across two accounts, the numbers never line up and nobody reads them twice.
If you prepaid Taplink for six or twelve months, check the remaining period before you rebuild anything. The paid plan does not refund automatically at the end, and a refund request goes to support with the receipt attached. There is no reason to run both tools in parallel for four months by accident.
Frequently asked questions
Is Taplink free?
Yes. The BASIC plan is free, activates automatically on registration, and covers unlimited links, text blocks, themes, maps, a QR code and page view statistics. PRO and BUSINESS are paid, with a three month minimum.
How much does Taplink cost per month?
PRO is $6 a month prepaid for a quarter, $4.20 a month for six months, and $3 a month for a year. BUSINESS is $12, $8.40 and $6 a month on the same periods. Taplink applies 30% off at six months and 50% off at twelve.
Can I use one Taplink plan for two profiles?
No. Taplink's pricing FAQ states one Instagram profile, one rate plan. A paid plan can be transferred between profiles connected to the same account, but two live paid pages mean two payments.
What does Taplink not do?
It does not shorten arbitrary URLs, and it does not route a single link to the App Store or Google Play by device. Both sit outside the plan lists at every tier, because the product is the page rather than the link.
What is the best Taplink alternative?
It depends on which half of Taplink you use. If you sell on the page and run leads through its CRM, nothing here replaces that. If the page is a bio link that sends people elsewhere, an alternative that also shortens links, routes by device and reports clicks in one dashboard covers more of the job, which is where Linxly fits at $0.99 a month against Taplink PRO at $3 a month prepaid annually.
Can I move my Taplink page to Linxly?
You rebuild it. Blocks do not transfer between the two tools, so the practical move is to recreate the page, keep the Taplink page live on the free plan pointing at the new URL, and update your profile link once.
The short version
Taplink is a bio page with a shop attached, sold in prepaid quarters and locked to one profile per plan. The paid tiers are built around selling on the page: payments, forms, a CRM and pixels.
What Taplink does not do is the link work outside the page. If you publish links in email, video descriptions, ads and print as well as in a bio, and you want the click data for all of it in one place, that is a different tool.
